This album was recorded on September 26, after the OSIMU festival held in Taviano (Lecce), the land of Taranta. Just as in the musical exorcism of "tarantism", musicians improvised for several days before identifying effective sounds, melodies and musical themes treating the "tarantolati", so the artists participating in the OSIMU festival have imagined hypotheses and new forms to try define the changing complexity that surrounds us. The CD contains only a small part of the social and artistic experiences experimented during OSIMU but settles some fundamental perspectives of the collective research of the musicians involved. “Dove morde la taranta” is not alluding to a cultural and musical past that no longer exists but imagines new paths in which traditional instruments such as the accordion and the shawm are tiles of a mosaic able to recount our time. The tracks, all improvised, were recorded with an acousmatic device designed to optimize the mixing of sounds and details.
